Your Bengal Kitten Questions Answered
1. What types of Bengal kittens do you breed?
We specialize in Tri‑Color Brown Rosetted Bengals, Seal Lynx Point Snow (white), Mink Snow, Silver, and occasionally Blue and Blue Snow Bengals. Our lines include some of the most sought‑after Bengal genetics in the United States.
2. How are your kittens raised and socialized?
All kittens are raised in our home with our family, dogs, and daily household activity. They are never caged and are handled multiple times per day to ensure they are well‑socialized and comfortable with people and pets.
3. What health testing do you perform on your breeding cats?
Our breeding studs and queens are tested to ensure they do not carry genetic defects and undergo echocardiograms to check for heart health issues. Breeders are also tested for PRA, PKDef, feline leukemia, and feline AIDS prior to breeding.
4. What is included in the kitten price?
Pricing reflects the kitten’s conformity to Bengal breed standards, genetic testing, high-quality nutrition, extensive socialization, and veterinary care. Snow, Silver, and Blue kittens are priced higher due to rarity.
5. Do you require a deposit to hold a kitten?
Yes. A $500 non‑refundable deposit is required to hold a kitten once you have verbally accepted it. Deposits must be received within 24 hours of acceptance, or the kitten may be offered to others.
6. At what age can I bring my kitten home?
Kittens are typically ready to go to their new homes between 10 and 12 weeks of age. Each kitten is evaluated around 9 weeks to determine readiness.
7. Do you offer delivery or pickup options?
We prefer in‑person pickup. If you need to fly in, we can meet you at the airport for a $75 fee. Courier delivery is available for an additional charge based on mileage and time. Shipping is offered on occasion with details provided upon request.
8. What diet are the kittens on before going home?
Our kittens are fed a raw chicken diet 3 - 4 times per day along with wet food for hydration and quality dry food as a supplement. They go home with raw frozen food to help transition to their new diet.
9. Are Bengal cats hypoallergenic?
Many Bengal owners find they are less likely to trigger allergies due to their short, sleek coats, but responses vary by individual. At our cattery, some allergy sufferers have reported no issues with our Bengals.
10. What are your health guarantees and requirements after adoption?
All kittens are guaranteed free from genetic defects for one year. We strongly recommend waiting to take your kitten to a vet until after the second FVRCP vaccination to avoid unnecessary exposure to illness. New kittens should be kept separate from other household pets for at least one week to ensure a smooth transition and protect health.
